KLEFF 2018 announces the finalists for 5 main film categories and special awards

After 6 months of film competition and 1 month of judging process, the KLEFF 2018 committee is proud to accounce the results of the film submission!

Out of 179 submissions we received globally, the KLEFF 2018 panel jury has selected 100 films to be screened throughout the seven-day film festival. Our festival theme for this year is ‘Forest, River and Climate Change’. You can view the list of films selected for the screening here.

The festival committee is also excited to announce the finalists for 5 main film categories – Best Feature Film/ Full-Length Documentary, Best Short Documentary/ TV Documentary, Best Short Film, Best Public Service Announcements(PSA), and Best Animation.

Other than the five main film categories, the other special awards announced are Special Jury Award, ASEAN Young Film Maker’s Award, Special Merit Award and Special River of Life (ROL) Award.

The films have been reviewed by a panel of judges and winners will be announced at the official KLEFF 2018 Awards Ceremony, scheduled on 26th October 2018 at 3:00pm at Black Box in Publika Shopping Galley, Kuala Lumpur.

The KLEFF committee would like to congratulate the film makers whose films are selected to be screened and chosen as finalists. We are truly grateful to all film makers who submitted their films, hence supporting the film festival.
