The Marché Buzz: Day 7

Once Upon A Time There Were No Spoilers

Though the opening ceremony of the festival has come and gone and the opening film shown, more attention has been given to the film that is to be shown a week after the opening, and that film is from Quentin Tarantino. The director hasn’t had a film come out since 2012, and hasn’t had a film appear at the festival since 2009 with “Inglourious Basterds.” His latest film is to premiere tomorrow night, in competition and is titled “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.” Ahead of the film’s premiere, Tarantino took to Twitter this evening to beg those attending not to publish any spoilers after viewing the movie. In a time where one cannot open any social media without risking seeing a spoiler of any popular TV show or film, this is a legitimate request. He expressed his love for cinema and the love of cinema by others in his appeal, asking people not to ruin the story for those who wish to experience it on their own in the future. So we only hope that those who have the opportunity can follow Tarantino’s pleas and not spoil the film, if thats possible anyways. #NoSpoilersInHollywood
