OMAR CHAPARRO AND EDY GANEM CORNERED BY BROKEN ENGLISH

Broken English Productions, part of film finance company Grandave Capital, announced today that actor/comedian Omar Chaparro (POKEMON: DETECTIVE PIKACHU, STUCK) and award-winning actress Edy Ganem (DEVIOUS MAIDS) are attached as leads in feature drama 7TH & UNION.

Chaparro is well known in the Spanish speaking market within the US, Mexico, and Latin America. He has starred in box-office hits such as NO MANCHES FRIDA 1 & 2, top five highest grossing franchises in Mexico, LA BODA DE VALENTINA, and Netflix’s hit series Nailed It! Mexico. Ganem has starred in several independent feature films from award-winning CREATED EQUAL and award-nominated ANA MARIA IN NOVELA LAND. She gained worldwide recognition as Valentina in Lifetime’s Devious Maids and has recently been seen on CBS’ hit series The Neighborhood.

7TH & UNION screenplay is by Oscar Orlando Torres (INSTRUCTIONS NOT INCLUDED) and will be directed by award-winning director Anthony Nardolillo (SHINE), produced by Christopher Acebo of Broken English Productions, Anthony Nardolillo and Oscar Orlando Torres with Stanley Preschutti of Grandave Capital and Paul Poste serving as executive producers.

In pre-production, 7TH & UNION is scheduled to start filming this summer in Los Angeles and is being introduced to buyers by Tamara Nagahiro of Grandave Capital at the 2020 virtual Cannes Market.

7TH & UNION is the story of an unlikely ally, a broken promise and an improbable chance which inspire two down and out men from opposite sides of the street to find a common ground and give each other a second chance at a better life.
