VIDEO: Women in Motion Interview with Jeremy O’Harris hosted by Kering

This morning we attended The Women in Motion Interview with Jeremy O’Harris sponsored by Kering at the Majestic Hotel here in Cannes. Jeremy O'Harris, the renowned playwright and cultural provocateur, shared profound insights into his creative journey and his quest for diversity and inclusion within the entertainment industry. O'Harris emphasized the necessity of empowering marginalized voices, especially those of women and people of color, in shaping the narratives of our time. O'Harris shed light on his personal experiences as a Black artist navigating the entertainment world, discussing the obstacles he faced and the need for systemic change. O'Harris emphasized the need for solidarity among writers and urged the industry to address the underlying issues causing the strikes. He highlighted the significance of recognizing the power dynamics at play and the need for collective action to ensure that writers receive the recognition and compensation they deserve. O'Harris's stance on the writers' strikes underscored his commitment to creating a more equitable industry that values and supports all artists involved in the storytelling process.
