They have made a name for themselves in major international festivals in 2022 and will be on screens all over the world in 2023. They are the new faces of French cinema.

Selected for the excellence of their work by international journalists Rebecca Leffler (Screen International), Fabien Lemercier (Cineuropa), Elsa Keslassy (Variety) and Jordan Mintzer (The Hollywood Reporter), these 10 to Watch in 2023 embody the reinvigoration of French cinema through the freedom and singularity of their artistic choices, ambition, audacity and openness to the world.

Unifrance is proud to honour this new generation of directors and actors, who contribute so fully to the effervescence of French cinematographic creation, and to enhance the distribution of their works beyond French borders.

An initiative inaugurated by Unifrance in 2014, the “10 to Watch” programme aims to contribute to the emergence of new French movie industry talents in the international area, as well as to raise their profile outside France (through contact with journalists, festival programmers, broadcasters and distributors, and foreign audiences) and, in this way, to participate in the constant renewal of new icons of French cinema.

The 2023 selection is composed of Dali Benssalah, actor / Bastien Bouillon, actor / Davy Chou, director & producer / Céline Devaux, director / Lyna Khoudri, actress / Paul Kircher, actor / Charlotte Le Bon, director & actress / Annabelle Lengronne, actress / Rebecca Marder, actress / Nadia Tereszkiewicz, actress.

Invited by Unifrance, most of them will be part of a delegation at the Cannes Film Festival, allowing them to meet French and international media and industry professionals at a lunch and dinner held in their honour. To shine a light on this young generation of artists, a red carpet event will also be held on Wednesday, 23 May, in coordination with the Cannes Film Festival.

These talents will also take part in original video content that Unifrance will create on its social media channels during the Festival.

Bastien Bouillon, Davy Chou, Céline Devaux, Paul Kircher, Charlotte Le Bon and Nadia Tereszkiewicz have already confirmed their participation.
