We are with him as he discovers the beauty in ideas, leading us on a journey through the abstract which ultimately unveils his cinematic vision.The director of the documentary immersed himself in David Lynch’s world, living and working at Lynch’s home, gathering 700 hours of footage over two years. His unobtrusive style has captured a personal side of David Lynch not seen before.The film reveals Lynch not only as one of the most original and compelling directors of contemporary film, but also as an artist who continues to explore and experiment in countless mediums. We witness his “hands on” approach to painting, sculpting, music and screen writing. His enthusiasm is infectious; inspiring us to tap into the well of creativity that Lynch believes we all have.  BEHIND THE FILMProduction on the Lynch documentary was completed in Copenhagen in 2007 with an award winning Danish team including:Cinematographer Morten Soborg (After the Wedding, Brothers, Open Hearts) whose recent film, After the Wedding was nominated for an Academy Award for best foreign language film of the year 2007. Soborg has also been nominated five times for a “Robert award” (considered the highest honor in Danish filmmaking).Supervising sound editor Peter Schultz’s work appears in the Oscar nominated film by Lars Von Trier, Breaking the Waves. Schultz was also nominated for a “Robert” award and has worked on such films as Lilya 4-ever and Fear X.Composer Sune Martin has created original compositions for The Royal Danish Ballet and worked with director Mads Mathiesen on the short film Mum (selected to Venice film festival) His band, Blue Foundation was used in Micheal Mann’s Miami Vice Movie soundtrack.FACTS
