Cannes 2019 first poster revealed: 58th Critics Week

2019%20SDC%20.png

On the poster of this 58th Semaine de la Critique, Félix Maritaud, winner of the Louis Roederer Foundation Prize for Revelation, devotes himself to the goal of the photographer Aurélie Lamachère with the complicity of the agency "Les bons faisueurs".

Captured in the blue hour, the actor is one with the disturbing character in search of love that he embodies in SAUVAGE, first feature film by Camille Vidal-Naquet presented in competition at the Critics' Week 2018. Félix Maritaud plays Leo's role with a candid animality bordering on grace, that of an angel inhabited by his demons.

Like the emerging directors revealed on the international scene at the Semaine de la Critique, Félix Maritaud opens the way for a new generation of actors, like before him Léa Seydoux (Rebecca Zlotowski's Belle Épine), Garance Marillier (Grave of Julia Ducournau), Gael García Bernal (Alejandro González Iñárritu's Amores Perros) or Nahuel Pérez Biscayart (Pablo Fendrik's La Sangre Brota). These performers combine masculine and feminine talent with that of the authors whose vision they espouse, bringing their own virtuosity.

Critics' Week, to be held in Cannes from May 15 to 23, is pleased to be both witness and accelerator of the rise of these artists.
