Raindance is Closing For Submissions 18th June

The 18th Raindance Film Festival opened for submissions on 1st January and we've never had so many pilling up in the office.

Raindance showcases features and shorts made by independent filmmakers from all around the world to an audience of film fans, journalists, acquisition executives, actors, producers and directors. If you think your film has what it takes to make Raindance ’10 then submit your film before the 18th June 2010.

Submitting is easy and we offer two ways of going about it:
1) The best and most effective way to submit your film is through Withoutabox.

More about Submitting To The Festival
Located in the heart of London’s West End, the Raindance Film Festival has screened some of the most acclaimed work in independent film, with many of those films submitted to and discovered at Raindance. Now in our 16th year, Raindance has hosted such guests and filmmakers as Christopher Nolan (Memento, Batman Begins), Shane Meadows (Dead Man’s Shoes, This Is England), Ken Loach (Kes, Ae Fond Kiss), Marky Ramone (The Ramones), Iggy Pop, Andrea Arnold (Red Road), Quentin Tarantino, and Lou Reed.

A Raindance selection comes with real perks. Filmmakers accompanying their work to the fest are given an all-access pass, opening the doors to screenings, panel discussions, special events, galas, and parties for the duration of the festival. As Raindance is one of the largest and most recognized indie film events in the UK, more and more top distributors are visiting the festival to scout for new talent each year with many films being picked up after Raindance screenings.

Festival Awards

Festival Jury Prizes are awarded in a number of categories, such as International Feature and Short, UK Feature and Short, Debut Feature, and Documentary. There are also a number of short film prizes including the Tiscali Film of the Festival ($2000 cash prize), the Canon Best Cinematography Award (brand new Canon XH A1 HD Camera), and the UK Short Film Award (2 return plane tickets to anywhere from the UK to the US).

Submit today for your chance to be a part of the 16th Raindance Film Festival and have your film screened to an audience of Britain’s most fanatical film fans.
