Why Did Celebrities Fall In Love With Dubai?

Photo by David Rodrigo on Unsplash

In ancient times, poor fishermen lived on the territory of Dubai on the shores of the Persian Gulf, but everything changed in the middle of the last century when oil was found in the region. It is hard to imagine that there was nothing on the site of modern skyscrapers and the world's best hotels only 50 years ago.

Islam is the basis of the Emirates culture. However, Dubai has become the most liberal place among all Arab destinations thanks to free trade relations and the rapid development of tourism. It is called the city of gold, unique attractions, and fabulous holidays.

Dubai is not only a tourist but a business center, where deals are made, standing right on the hot sand. It is a paradise for shopaholics, food lovers, and a favorite resort of top celebrities. You can easily meet Leonardo DiCaprio, Naomi Campbell, Claudia Schiffer, Jennifer Lopez, Cristiano Ronaldo, Paris Hilton, Antonio Banderas, Tom Cruise, Kim Kardashian, and many other famous personalities on the beaches and restaurants of Dubai.

We have prepared a list of things to do in Dubai for which you should visit the city to feel like a star.

So what to do in this metropolis?

  • Sunbathe on Jumeirah Beach

Jumeirah is the most expensive residential area in Dubai, where the most expensive cars are on the streets. And the most luxurious hotels in the city are located here, including Jumeirah Al Qasr, Jumeirah Dar Al Masyaf, Jumeirah Mina A'Salam, Jumeirah Al Naseem, and, of course, the famous Burj Al Arab.

Entrance to the beaches of these hotels is open to guests only. You will hardly be able to get on an excursion to one of the famous hotels just like that, but you can always reserve a table at any of the restaurants inside the hotel to see the real Arab luxury with your own eyes. Moreover, several companies offer luxury cars for rent in Dubai to allow you to get a taste of the rich life.

  • See the man-made Palm Islands

Dubai is a linear city with a natural coastline of about 70 kilometers. During the construction boom, all the most expensive buildings were traditionally constructed on the coast. That led to the fact that the "precious" beaches quickly ended, and then it was decided to create new ones. That is how the Palm Islands appeared.

  • Visit Burj Khalifa

More than $2 billion and six years of building, 12 thousand workers, and 22 million man-hours – that is how much it took to construct the tallest building in the world – the Burj Khalifa.

Burj Khalifa is visible within a radius of one hundred kilometers. The tower is so high that you can feel how it is swaying in the wind while standing on the observation deck.

  • Upgrade your wardrobe at Dubai Mall

It is not just a mall, but a separate state for shopaholics, with an area of more than one million square meters! It will take several days to get around all the boutiques, restaurants, and entertainment spots.

You can buy everything there – from autos to the most expensive diamonds in the world. The floors are occupied by the most famous fashion houses and budget brands shops. Food courts and restaurants are in a separate section.

There is also one of the largest oceanariums on the planet, where you don't need to buy an entrance ticket. Any shopping center visitor can watch the marine inhabitants for free.

  • Go for a walk in Dubai

Dubai Marina is a man-made bay is located in the heart of modern Dubai, surrounded by skyscrapers glittering in the sun, housing luxury residential apartments and modern hotels with their marinas.

The length of the marina is more than 3 kilometers. It has become one of the favorite places for walking and recreation for tourists and city residents since its opening in 2003. Here, dozens of restaurants and shisha bars work along the pedestrian zone, and various social events are regularly held. Everyone who wishes can take a boat trip or rent a luxury yacht.

Dubai is the cleanest beaches, swimming pools, aquariums, water parks with dolphins, galleries of famous brands boutiques. You can find a huge variety of restaurants and bars, including the famous ones owned by Gordon Ramsay and Robert de Niro, as well as all kinds of SPAs and beauty salons.

Dubai is rich in various amazing places that attract not celebrities but tourists from all over the world. If you haven’t been to this wonderful country yet, so it is time to discover breathtaking sites. Good luck!
