"Visions" will be presented for the first time at the 11th OIFF

Odesa International Film Festival presents a new programme called "Visions". It will be screened for the first at the 11th OIFF, which will take place online from 25 September till 3 October. The 'Visions' section presents films with a distinctive visual narrative and original cinematic approach that has been highly praised at world film festivals such as Cannes, Toronto, Berlinale and others.

The programme includes the following films:

  • Twelve Thousand by Nadège Trebal, France, 2019
  • Tlamess by Ala Eddine Slim, Tunisia / France, 2019
  • The Trouble with Being Born by Sandra Wollner, Austria / Germany, 2020
  • A Yellow Animal by Felipe Bragança, Brazil / Portugal, 2020
  • Love trilogy: Stripped by Yaron Shani, Israel / Germany, 2018
  • Love trilogy: Chained by Yaron Shani, Israel / Germany, 2019
  • Love trilogy: Reborn by Yaron Shani, Israel / Germany, 2019
  • Entwined by Minos Nikolakakis, Greece / Great Britain, 2019
  • Isaac by Jurgis Matulevičius, Lithuania, 2020

"Visions" is a brand new section of the festival. It gathers films that entail a strong author personality, and which offer a new vision of the world. The originality and the audacity of their visual decisions come together with a bold comprehension of the world and the society we live in. Composed of films that refuse the rules of academism and classicism, "Visions" illustrate what Martin Scorsese said about cinema: "Movies touch our hearts and awaken our vision, and change the way we see things. They take us to other places, they open doors and minds", the OIFF programme director Anthelme Vidaud noted.

The 11th Odesa International Film Festival will take place online from 25 September till 3 October. To watch OIFF films, in particular from the “Visions” section, one should purchase Festival Pass at: https://oiff.online/subscription
