The New Sponsors of the 73rd Berlin International Film FestivalCosmetics brand Armani beauty and mobility platform Uber will be the new Principal Partners of the Berlinale 2023, complementing the commitment of long-time principal media partner ZDF.
Potsdamer Platz as the central festival location moves up as a Co-Partner alongside Mastercard and rbb media. The Berlinale has also been able to win numerous companies as new partners at the other sponsorship levels.
“I am very pleased about the large number of new partners we have been able to inspire for the 2023 festival. The Berlinale's appeal as a platform for innovative marketing activities by international companies continues unabated, even after two exceptional years due to the pandemic. In addition to the important financial support, we are also grateful for the diverse services with which all Berlinale partners will enrich the festival and its visitors,” says Berlinale Executive Director Mariëtte Rissenbeek.
Armani beauty
Armani beauty’s collaboration with the Berlin International Film Festival keeps enhancing the relationship the brand has with the world of filmmaking and comes as a celebration of Giorgio Armani’s life-long love of the cinema. Armani beauty’s faces Cate Blanchett, Regé-Jean Page, Tessa Thompson, Nicholas Hoult, Adria Arjona, Greta Ferro and Alice Pagani epitomise the intimate connection between cinema and beauty.
Uber
“Uber has been an integral part of urban and mobility culture in Germany for years. We digitally arrange safe and comfortable rides also for fans of cinema. With our commitment to the Berlinale, we want to reinforce our local ties. And of course we are also very pleased that this year the German and international film stars will be shuttled to the Red Carpet in environmentally friendly hydrogen limousines powered by Uber,” says Christoph Weigler, General Manager Uber DACH.
