New Food Trucks at the Berlinale Street Food Market

From February 15 to 25, the Berlinale Street Food Market will once again provide festival visitors with international delicacies. In collaboration with the BITE CLUB, the Culinary Cinema will present five food trucks at the heart of the festival, next to the Berlinale Palast.

“It’s great that the Slow Food Convivium Berlin will again be offering regional, sustainable products. It’s the second time, we’re collaborating with BITE CLUB on the Berlinale Street Food Market. The bite is back!” declares Festival Director Dieter Kosslick with satisfaction.

Five “BITE CLUB Winter Warmers” will be set up at that familiar spot in the Joseph-von-Eichendorff-Gasse, at the corner of Alte Potsdamer Straße: Organic cheese from the Allgäu will again be grated over freshly made Spätzle at the “Heisser Hobel”, a crowd favourite. Festival visitors will find traditional Mexican dishes at “Eddielicious”. “Fräulein Kimchi” will whip up tasty international Korean soul food. “Tommi‘s Burger Joint” will grill organic beef and vegetable patties for burgers served on home-baked buns. And at “Pecados”, visitors can enjoy classic empanadas from Uruguay.

Since 2014, the Berlinale Street Food Market has been a part of the Berlin International Film Festival. “We are thrilled to participate in Berlin’s vibrant street food scene and provide excellent food that is a genuine alternative to star-rated restaurants,” comments Culinary Cinema curator Thomas Struck.
