Berlinale Series starts with The Swarm an ZDF eco-thriller
Based on the bestseller by Frank Schatzing, The Swarm, a Zdf series, with an international co-production, will open at Berlinale on February 19th. A very scary eco-thriller, directed By Barbara Eder, Luke Watson and Philip Stotzl that shows an international group of scientists doing research on a mysterious ocean phenomena that can become a global threat. Whales sink boats, shellfish poison a coastal town. Nature seems to be taking its revenge. Three episodes (out of competition) that will offer a first look of the new trend of series production around the world. The cast includes Leonie Benesch, who will also be one of the European Shooting Stars at Berlinale.
