Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York Spring 2012 (MBFWNYS2012) Collections commenced September 8-15, 2011 at three tents in Lincoln Center and at offsite venues throughout New York. Presented by IMG Fashion; sponsored by DHL, American Express, Maybelline New York, and TRESemme; Spring 2012 designer’s color choices were socialite blue, green, orange, pink, purple and yellow. This season’s show introduced the Mercedes-Benz Credit Card Service from American Express.

Designers who featured their glamorous and striking Spring 2012 collections included Academy of Art University, ADAM, Anna Sui, Argentine Designers, Badgley Mischka, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Betsey Johnson, Bibhu Mohapatra, B Michael America, Calvin Klein, Carlos Miele, Carolina Herrera, Chado Ralph Rucci, Concept Korea IV, Custo Barcelona, Cynthia Rowley, Derek Lam, Diane von Furstenberg, Diesel Black Gold, Donna Karan New York, Elie Tahari, Farah Angsana, Hervé Léger by Max Azria, J. Mendel, L.A.M.B., Jill Stuart, Lela Rose, Luca Luca, Made in Africa: by Arise Magazine, Mara Hoffman, Michael Angel, Michael Kors, Milly by Michelle Smith, Naeem Khan, Nanette Lepore, Narciso Rodriguez, Nicole Miller, Perry Ellis, Porter Grey, Project Runway, Ralph Lauren, Richard Chai, Ruffian, Tadashi Shoji, Rebecca Taylor, Supima, Timo Weiland, Tommy Hilfiger, Tory Burch, Tracy Reese, Venexiana, Vera Wang, Vivienne Tam, Y-3, and Zang Toi.

Spring 2012 emerging designers showing for the first time were Callula LilliBelle, Candela, Electric Feathers, Emerson, Falguni Peakcock, Honor, IMPROVD, Katya Leonovich, J. Crew, Malan Breton, Pink Tartan, Rafael Cennamo, VLOV-QingQing Wu and TIBI.

Microsoft Bing web search engine sponsored the Bing Fashion Week Blogger Lounge for Mercedes Benz Fashion Week members of the press at MOBAR in the Mandarin Oriental, New York, Monday, September 12 through Thursday, September 15, 2011, from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm. The Bing Lounge offered complimentary WI-FI, laptops, continental breakfast and lunch. It was a privilege to experience a tranquil escape in between shows to catch up on work and enjoy a delightful meal.
