The Amazon Web Services Summit New York 2016 (AWSSNY16) Opening Keynote Presentation with Dr. Werner Vogels, chief technology officer of AWS commenced Thursday, August 11, 10AM at Javits Convention Center. Vogels announced the launch of Application Load Balancer, derail architecture framework, launch of RDS for Aurora, two EBS updates, service oriented architect, container management service, micro services, launch of Amazon Kinesis Analytics, creation of executable reference architectures for serverless applications, Lambda, launch of IPv6 Endpoints for Amazon S3, launch of AWS security cloud tools from Key Management Service that supports key import for all premises to Inspector, and AWS Snowball data storage. Amazon customer guest speakers were DevOps Abby Fuller, Airtime; CTO Sree Kotay, Comcast; and CTO Chris Lambert, Lyft.
