Agustin Almodovar, EGEDA´s Medalla de Oro Award

The association EGEDA announced that this year´s Gold Medal goes to the Spanish producer Agustín Almodóvar

for his talent and trajectory as a film and TV producer and for his achievement showing the Spanish Cinema around the world.

He will receive this honor during the annual Forque Awards Gala next January.

Agustin Almodovar and his brother, filmmaker and Academy Award winner Pedro Almodovar, founded their own production company, El Deseo S.A.( 1986). Since then he has been responsible for more than 30 films with directors Guillermo del Toro, Alex de la Iglesia, Isabel Coixet or Lucrecia Martel. And of course in this list, his brother´s most famous titles:

All about my Mother obtained the Oscar® for Best Film in a Foreign Language in 1999.

Along with the Oscar® he has a bunch of other international awards such as 2 Golden Globes, 3 BAFTAS, 4 Goya®, 3 Cesar, 2 Cóndor de Plata, 1 David de Donatello, 2 EFA and 1 Ariel from Academia de Cine Mexicano.

To the list, Agustin Almodovar adds this Medalla de Oro from EGEDA (Spanish producers).
