The 2022 San Diego International Kids' Film Festival Returned with Honor!

Since 2020, the COVID-19 epidemic has completely changed the way the public lives their social life. After all the challenges of the past two years, the world is finally expected to fully return to normal social and life order in 2022. With a glorious history of 18 years, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival will usher in a new chapter of opportunity, and hope to write the glory once again. Founded in 2003, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival is the premier high-end professional film festival in Hollywood and among Kids' filmmakers and fans from all over the world. Every year, more than 100 children-themed films from around the world are submitted to the Festival. Over the past two years, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival has been forced by the pandemic and various social regulations to detour its screenings and awards ceremonies online and to host live events in collaboration with the three major Maeya Group film festival programs in 2021. After all, the online film festival during the epidemic cannot compete with the original events and programs of the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival. In the summer of 2022, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival will return to beautiful Oceanside with first-class stages and screening venues to welcome filmmakers and fans from all over the world.

The theme of "Films for children, films by children" has always been the pursuit of the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival. Since 2012, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival specially added Kids-made/Youth-made short categories, which provides an opportunity and platform for all young people who like movies to show themselves, and positively affirms their efforts to pursue their film dreams, so that every short film made by children and teenagers can be seen by the public. San Diego International Kids' Film Festival aspires to bring to each and every little filmmaker hope for the future, to let them know that every dream deserves to be recognized and every idea deserves to be appreciated. Perhaps with the recognition at the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival, more excellent filmmakers will be able to embark on the pursuit of film ideals since their adolescence and accumulate more experience in learning and shooting films.

With nearly 20 years of close cooperation relations with Hollywood, this year, the festival committee will also arrange different panels and face to face discussions between Hollywood professionals and filmmakers, to help everyone who comes to the events to better understand the various aspects of the film industry and exchange their experiences in filming with front-line Hollywood filmmakers.

During the three-day festival, each participant will have the opportunity to experience panels about the live reading of the original script, the pre-production of a film, the ideas about auditioning for different roles at the casting interview, as well as the post-production and distribution. Centering on the themes of interest to filmmakers, the festival committee will, as usual, invite top people in the industry to come to the festival for exchange and discussion, so as to ensure that everyone participating in the festival can gain something in the field of expertise and come home with full achievements!

In addition to maintaining close and friendly relations with top Hollywood filmmakers, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival has also established partnerships with many local youth film schools in the United States. Every year, many short films from the Youth Film School are shown at the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival, which fully reflects the film school's recognition of the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival. At the same time, with the effective updates on epidemic control, the San Diego International Kids' Film Camp will reopen in early August to welcome 6 to 17- year-olds from all over the world to sign up. Please contact info@sdkidsfilms.org for more information about the film camp.

With the full return of this year's festival schedule, the festival will also relaunch the selection for the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival's Youth Ambassador. Every child and teenager who signs up for the tryouts will have the opportunity to show their unique professional demeanor in front of Hollywood professional judges. Whether you are aspiring to be a movie star or want to broaden your horizons and expand your knowledge, the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival Youth Ambassador selection event is one of the top events you can't miss! People often say "Let children win at the starting line" -- and the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival Youth Ambassador is the perfect opportunity to gild the future of every talented child! After all, not everyone has the opportunity to step on the international stage when they are teenagers. Whoever is selected as the Youth Ambassador will not only represent the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival in various media platforms in the coming year, at the same time, as the representative of outstanding youth filmmakers and will join Maeya Group to attend high-end cultural exchange activities around the world to rewrite the year of life. Maybe all of that starts with the San Diego International Kids' Film Festival!
