FRANCIGENA FILM FESTIVAL

The FRANCIGENA FILM FESTIVAL takes place in the heart of Tuscany, in the city of Colle di Val d’Elsa, between San Gimignano and Monteriggioni.
The FRANCIGENA has been certified "Cultural Route of the Council of Europe" in 1994-
The Via Francigena was a communication path which contributed to the cultural unity of Europe in the Middle Ages. Today, the Via Francigena is considered as a bridge between the cultures of the Anglo-Saxon Europe and the Latin Europe.

That’s why the Programming Committee decided to name FRANCIGENA this new Film Festival, where the Theme of the accepted Shorts must be “the Journey”.

One of the most beautiful routes along Via Francigena, in Tuscany, it's called STAGE 32, that leaves S. Gimignano, reaches Molino d'Aiano, goes on towards Colle di Val d’Elsa, and Badia a Coneo and Gracciano, and then to Strove, including a pretty Romanesque Pieve. Passes the wonderful architectural structure of Abbadia in Isola before reaching Monteriggioni, where there is an unmistakable tower crest. Water and road-houses are available only in populated areas.

For its 1st edition, the FFFestival event will last for two days, to offer more time for insights with the authors.
The 1st FRANCIGENA FILM FESTIVAL will be held in a very important location, which is located in the heart of Tuscany, inside the city of Colle di Val d’Elsa, at the marvelous Teatro del Popolo.
The prizes are awarded for the best short film and best documentary. Also, special mentions will be assigned to: best director, best actor, best actress, best photography, best screenplay, best editing. There will be an audience award and mentions assigned by our media partners.
The festival counts on the help of media-partnerships and cultural partners in the area.
Creator and Artistic Director of the Francigena Film Festival is Giovanni Guidelli: actor, author and director.

Other Jurors will soon join us. We only care about quality shorts, intelligent vision, experimentation and authorial style. We can assure you that being selected here means that your film has all that is needed to be recognized as an author's film.

Valpolicella Film Festival

Valpolicella Film Festival is a short film and script festival based in Verona, Northern Italy, this year taking place from the 23rd to the 27th of November.

Celebrating the powerful relationship between word and image, we focused our festival on fiction. Moreover, our competition is open to film-makers and scriptwriters - deadline on the 31st of July.

Many of our main events promote international cooperation with other film festivals, our beautiful landscape as a perfect location for movies and young boys and girls creativity.

Famous for its vineyards, Valpolicella also offers a perfect environment for talking about the movies you've just seen, tasting a delightful glass of wine.
