"A.L.I.C.E." has been short-listed from 800 submissions representing 52
countries for the "Shorts Cinema" program at the Marbella Int'l Film
Festival in Marbella, Spain running October 14-16, 2011. This is the
20th festival acceptance for "A.L.I.C.E.".
During the same dates, "A.L.I.C.E." will be participating in the Beijing
Int'l Movie Fest in China. Later in the month, the film moves to the
Gold Lion Film Festival in Manzini, Swaziland.

"A.L.I.C.E." played in the 17th annual San Gio Film Festival in Verona,
Italy on July 27th, 2011. The film has now played in 19 fests on 6
continents. Festival director Ugo Brusaporco told director Dawn
Westlake, "Molto applaudito il tuo lavoro, e la concorrenza era davvero
spietata!"

The Forest Park Film Festival promotes independent film makers Not only are movies featured at the festival, but
they are promoted by radio interviews and movie reviews. With
permission from film producers, the film will also air on Springfield's
Public Access Television. Any genre (fiction, documentary, animation)
is Eligible for submission. The Forest Park Film Festival is held at
the Bing Arts Center at 716 Sumner Avenue, Springfield, Massachusetts.
The submission fee is $19.95

A short film about Hannah’s journey to feed an illusive monster lurking in the woods. Set in the future, her village lives in harmony with nature. The monster is their only problem. Every time he is hungry he roars, and the villagers hold a lottery. The unlucky winner must sneak into the forest to drop off food and then get out quickly. As a result no one has ever seen the monster. Hannah is a curious teen who inadvertently breaks rules. As a consequence her journey will end much differently than her predecessors.
This is the trailer for the up and coming short film, Monster, directed by Deborah Burns starring Jodelle Ferland.

The Swedenborg Short Film Festival 2011
is now open for entries and will place in the Swedenborg Society’s
grade II listed neo-classical Hall. Following the success of last year, we hope the festival will continue to establish itself as an annual landmark event on the UK film calendar.
Featuring
films of 30 mins or less, the heart of the Festival is to showcase the
latest new and established talent. Films should respond to themes
encountered in the work of scientist, philosopher, radical theologian
and mystic Emanuel Swedenborg (1688 - 1772).
Submissions are invited on a variety of themes and genres. Selected
submissions will be screened to a public audience at Swedenborg Hall in
central London; at the closing of the festival an award will be given
for Best Film.
- All film submissions must
be sent in DVD format by post, with a completed application form
(available to download here).
- An administration fee of £5 is placed on all submissions.
