FFFilm Project (Family Fiction Film Project) is a cycle of video and film, which explores several possibilities around the topic of family/familiar: documentary or fiction movies about the intimate, the personal or private, family footage, home movies, self-portraits / about identities, family as a landscape, alternative families, etc.  In the era of the democratization of the use of image the objects produced are increasingly on the intimacy and in the precariousness of the production resources. There is a new way to make films and to tell stories. Public and private or global and local, stand in a constant transformation in their inter-connection at the same they have a tremendous impact on the way of producing, creating and living. We believe that at this moment, this kind of cycle is full of sense; it will be a moment for sharing ways of doing and perspectives which concerns are to do with fragility, intimacy and precarity. This cycle is open both to amateur and professional videos.

Insight Film Festival

The Insight Film Festival exists to encourage filmmakers throughout the world to make films about ‘faith’. It creates events and spaces where such films can be displayed, discussed and celebrated. It welcomes participants from all faith backgrounds and none and focuses particularly on young filmmakers. In doing so it wants to make positive contributions to understanding, respect and community cohesion.

Porny Days Sexfilmfestival Zurich

True to David Reuben's classic book "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Sex * But Were Afraid to Ask " we love movies that give us new insights on topics like sexual liberation, erotic fantasies, BDSM, sexual shame, cultural sexual differences, the "new" prudery, pornography, the impact of the internet porn on our sexuality and sex activism. The discourse with the filmmakers and actors is very important to us. Therefore we try to invite as many protagonists and directors as possible to our festival and thus offer the audience the opportunity for a dialogue.

The selection-commitee is looking forward to all kind of films about all kinds of sexuality. Any durations and genres are welcome and can be submitted, fiction, shorts, experimental and documentaries.

Food Film Festival

The Food Film Festival is a three-day festival on everything related to food: eating in the broadest sense of the word. There is so much to say about food and at the same time how and what we eat says so much about us. Food is culture; food is identity. During three days the Food Film Festival attempts to cover all aspects of everything related to food. Aside from documentaries, feature films, animation, short and experimental films the festival boasts a variety of debate, lectures, live shows and workshops. This broad approach leads to the multifaceted program the subject deserves. The Food Film Festival believes that good stories have the power to transform the world. By creating a stage for food stories the Food Film Festival hopes to convey the love for food and at the same time it denounces the many problems related to our current day food system.

Director: Desmond Devenish.

Jude has spent the majority of his life haunted by relentless anxiety and an unnamed fear.  The origin of this condition he can only chalk up to a traumatic drug-induced experience from his youth.  Exhausted and not knowing where else to turn, he seeks help from a disarming energy healer named May. Their meeting quickly draws him into the darkest recesses of his psyche as Jude comes to learn that the truth may be harder to come to terms with than the actual fear itself. Closure focuses on the effort to understand our most elusive and insurmountable fears and actively confront them, as well as the value of doing whatever it takes to bring an individuated form of peace.

The Ties That Bind

Director: Paul Anderton.

And Lost Soul

Director: Robin Das.

The protagonist of this film is a poet who though revolutionary in spirit, has to compromise with the wrongs in the society. His perturbed soul could not tolerate it much longer however. It possessed his body to govern his actions. Ectoplasm can give a spirit form, but can it make it humane? That was a question that the poet's late wife could never answer. While she had been alive, she was a mere love-interest of her husband! The poet's daughter is quite unlike both her parents. How can she defy this patriarchal society? The story of this film is all about the search of the soul to find the correct rhythm of life. Not a poem, not a folk-lore, not a social drama, what is the true identity of this film ? The individual search finds a universal resonance in the language of this film.

Important dates and entry form is available on our website: Deadline: 25th of July! ___ Flimmer is southeast Sweden's biggest independent film organisation and is based in Norrköping, a former forerunner of the industrial revolution in Sweden. In a city steeped in tradition and history, Flimmer has successfully established itself in two distinct areas. Norrkoping Film festival Flimmer is a favourite in the cinema-goers' calendar in southeast Sweden. The 14th annual festival will take place between 5th and 14th of October this year. All the films are shown in Norrköping and are screened at times and in venues to maximise your enjoyment. Last year's festival opened with the Swedish film “Stockholm Östra”, the Swedish premieres of “Even the Rain” and Liz Garbus’ “Bobby Fischer Against the World”. The festival also saw the Swedish premieres of “Talihina Sky: the Story of Kings of Leon” and James Gunn’s “Super” as well as shocking yet informative documentaries; animation; short films; Midnight Screenings; and face-to-face interviews with actors, actresses and directors. This year the attempt is not only to maintain the quality and variety of last year’s festival but also to make this year even more memorable. Last year we therefore made the move to Cnema ( ), the new venue for cinema goers in Norrköping and the East Sweden region, where three top modern auditoriums will host this year’s festival screenings. Our open air cinema is the biggest open-air cinema event in Sweden. The Flimmer Utomhusbio visits around 30 places in Sweden between June and September, and is welcoming 40 000 people to the inflatable giant screen. The open air cinema runs between May and September and this year’s programmes include Oscar winners and well-known Swedish titles. The programme is available here in May and each screening is free, although there will be a raffle every evening and donations are gratefully received.
