This afternoon, 14 May, Olivier-Rene Veillon, executive director for Île-de-France Film Commission, and Adrian Wootton, CEO of Film London, will be meeting to sign a partnership agreement between both regions. This agreement between the IDF and London commission will be the first of its kind and intends to jointly utilize each of their production and post-production resources for industry events. There are also plans in the works to combine each regions' eco-initiatives, IDF's Ecoprod and London's Green Screen. As reported by "The Hollywood Reporter: The Cannes Daily," Wootton remarks on the collaboration by saying, "I believe this partnership represents an intelligent response to competition and collaboration, recognizing the similarities and differences between our respective organizations and indentifying some tangible initial areas we can work together that we hope to build on."
A cocktail reception hosted by the two-film commissions will be held today, Friday, 14 May, at Pantiero 211 Village International.
