Marc Price and Nancy Bishop confirrmed speakers on FEST Training Ground

Marc Price is the person responsible of one of the biggest film phenomenons in 2009 with its film "Colin"

"Colin" hit the spotlight in Cannes where the film wowed by the critics and got several distribution deals, but some films have achieved similar objective, but none of the others had a similar budget to "Colin" that was made for 50 Euros!

This achievement made Marc Price a case study, he wrote "Colin" during his day work and suddenly he was in Cannes, and soon after in every major news media. The Guardian, The Times and even CNN made special reports about his achievement.

Marc will be a speaker on the Master Class Filmmaking with low resources on the 23rd of June.

Nancy Bishop on casting Direction

In the early 90s, Black Box Theater lured Nancy to Prague where she directed a number of plays.

At this point Prague was fast becoming the Hollywood of Europe. Because of her knowledge of actors in the region, and her experience as a director, she started getting casting offers. One of her first big jobs was casting over 60 roles on Dune for the Science Fiction Channel. Since then she has cast hundreds of actors for dozens of films.

Nancy has casted for directors such as Roman Polanski (Oliver Twist), Guillermo del Toro (Hellboy, Blade 2) Neil Burger (The Illusionist), and many well known productions like James Bond, Casino Royale The Bourne Identity, Hannibal Rising, Van Helsing to name a few.

FEST  Training Ground will occur in the same dates as FEST  International Youth Film Festival, This is one of the most vibrant film festivals in Portugal, having shown in the past some of the years most interesting works worldwide. The festival focuses in new directors and it is expected to find in the event some future talents, from this screen, directors have gone to win awards and nominations in events such as Cannes, Venice, Sundance and even Oscars.

Manuel Claro on FEST - Training Ground 2010 with the masterclass entitled Fundraising.
Manuel Claro was responsible for the cultural activities in Lisbon's City Hall, representative of Film Comission. In 2008, he joined Media Desk and became it's director on October 2009.

Possidónio Cachapa Author of novels such as “Materna Doçura”, “Viagem ao Coração dos Pássaros, “O Mar Por Cima” and “O Mundo Branco do Rapaz do Coelho”, Cachapa is a screenwriter (who wrote for several short and feature)

Jorge Cramez will join FEST - Training Ground 2010 with the masterclass "Filmaking With Low Resources".
Part of the new generation of portuguese directors, Cramez worked with acclaimed portuguese directors, such as João César Monteiro, Teresa Villaverde, João Mário Grilo and Joaquim Leitão.

Bruno Chatelin, an expert on Promotional Strategies for Interactive Media, will join us on FEST – Training Ground 2010 with the masterclass entitled “How to Sell Your Film”.
