allinn Black Nights Film Festival announces legendary Spanish director Carlos Saura as the latest recipient of its Lifetime Ach
PÖFF25 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
PÖFF25 will host the European premier of Saura’s latest feature, The King Of All The World, in the Official Selection - Out Of Competition
Producers of The King Of All The World, Esebio Pacha and Alexandra Fierro, will be in attendance, while the director has sent his video greetings to cinema goers. Two of Saura’s recent shorts Rosa Rosae: A Spanish War Elegy and Goya, May 3rd will be screened together with The King Of All The World. The first screening is tomorrow, November 26, at 17:15 at the Coca Cola Plaza.
In total, Carlos Saura has made almost 50 films, which have collected awards from almost all of the major famous festivals. Cría Cuervos won the Grand Prix at Cannes in 1976, and Deprisa, Deprisa earned him a Golden Bear at the 1981 Berlin Film Festival. He is a three-time Oscar nominee for Mama turns 100, Carmen and Tango.

On the 27th of November, the very special 25th edition of Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival will have its festive finale during the award ceremony.

PÖFF starts web cinema with Shorts
The Black Nights Film Festival web cinema will screen short films until November 28.
The web cinema will host most of the films from the three Shorts competition programmes, including the six winners announced last Saturday.

Cinema screenings continue until Sunday
It's not over till it's over. Our cinemas still have great films for three more days: Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Most competition films are also available for accredited press and industry attendees online.

Black Nights’ festival director Tiina Lokk will also join the discussion to share more about the new initiative and how it will help those working across a variety of departments in film.
