"terroir" has been selected by Fem Tour Truck out of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain to tour that country, as well as Portugal, France, the UK, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia and Mexico from June 2020 onward.
Written/helmed and sung by Dawn Westlake, and produced under her Ron de Cana Productions, Inc. shingle, "terroir" explores the mother-child relationship and how it can influence our perceptions of very capable female leaders in all sectors of society. The film was made in Wheaton & Peru, IL, USA, Font Romeu, France and Vilafranca del Penedes, Catalunya, Spain in 2019. Pol Carrizo Vilarroig of Imatge Barcelona shot/edited and did the considerable special effects. GC Johnson of Acoustic Labs composed the original instrumentals to accompany Westlake's voice.
4-year-old Lilly Johnson makes her professional acting debut in "terroir", playing Westlake in 1969 and her mother in approximately 1930.
