Oh my!!! "Normal People" is probably THE BEST teenage coming of age romance series ever captured on film, yet it is relatable by any parent, teacher, or adult. How good are Paul Mescal and Daisy Edgar-Jones? There are 12 episodes in season one, and it is now available on Hulu. Based on the New York Times best-selling novel written by Sally Rooney, the series was filmed in Dublin and Sligo Ireland, and Italy. So far, I have watched the first 3 episodes. Marianne is an unpopular high school girl, deemed disrespectful, an outcast and 'above everyone,' by the popular crowd, all with the exception of Connell. Connell finds her 'easy to talk to,' and pretty. Marianne suffers from low self esteem and the relationship between the two is kept secret from his jocky friends and parents, or so they think. What happens when Connell starts to think maybe Marianne is right, maybe he should go out with the popular blonde from school? Maybe things will be easier and more socially acceptable, or not. "You are a nice person. Do you know how rare that is?" "Normal People," now on Hulu.
