This is will be the first of two press conferences giving extra depth to the Tiger Competition.
Festival director Bero Beyer and IFFR programmer Müge Demir will talk to filmmakers Vincent Boy Kars, Jorge Thielen Armand, Maria Clara Escobar, Luis López Carrasco and Janis Rafa about their selected films Drama Girl, La Fortaleza, Desterro, El año del descubrimiento and Kala azar.
On Tuesday 28 January, the second Tiger Competition press conference will take place, with the filmmakers of Beasts Clawing at Straws, Nasir, Piedra sola, The Cloud in Her Room and Si yo fuera el invierno mismo.
