CALL FOR PROJECTS
NIFFF ON TOUR @CERN: FUTURE STORYWORLDS
IMMERSIVE NARRATIVE WORKSHOP – 29-30 November 2019, CERN
In collaboration with the CERN’s CineGlobe Film Festival, the Swiss Foundation for culture Pro Helvetia and with the support of the Estonian #Futureofcontent accelerator and creative hub STORYTEK, the Neuchâtel International Fantastic Film Festival (NIFFF) is launching a call for projects for visionary immersive narratives linked to technological and scientific leaps that take place in society.
Applications for the 3rd edition of NIFFF ON TOUR @CERN: FUTURE STORYWORLDS are open. We call for futuristic science-related narratives at the earliest stage of development that must be designed for immersive media such as video games, virtual reality, augmented reality or mixed reality.
Upon 2 or 3 pages of draft treatment, six to ten finalists will be selected to partake in the workshop, which will take place on 29-30 November, at CERN. Up to three projects can be international.
This one-of a kind free workshop gives its participants the opportunity to strengthen their projects with the help of scientists and major players from the digital and screenwriting industries.
The experts will nominate the most promising Swiss project to receive a cash incentive to support its development phase. The experts can also decide to award either a Swiss or an international project to one of Storytek's intensive development and residence programs, scheduled to take place during spring 2020.
