22ND ANNUAL SONOMA INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL PRESENTS
A Festival Kick-off
Special Documentary Film Dinner - Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable –
Thursday, February 21st at Sebastiani Theatre
Sonoma, CA (February 7, 2019) – On Thursday, February 21st at 7:15pm, Sonoma International Film Festival fans can catch a special documentary film screening of Bethany Hamilton: Unstoppable at the Sebastiani Theatre. Bethany Hamilton lost her arm to a tiger shark at age 13, but this didn't stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming a professional surfer. However, it wasn't only the competition that fueled her desire to stay in the big blue, but her love for the ocean. Not only has she conquered the giant walls but also the journey of being a mother--all with only one arm. She inspires and she never stops; Bethany Hamilton is Unstoppable. Surfing is now the state sport in California.
Doors will open at Theatre at 6:30 PM with a wine reception prior to the film will begin at 7:15 PM. The directors and the executive producer will be in attendance for Q&A after the screening. SIFF is also offering the chance to join the filmmakers for a dinner at Della Santina’s, located on the historic Sonoma Plaza, at 133 East Napa Street. The sit down dinner will begin at 5:30 PM and the number of seats are very limited.
