Global art initiative connects individuals in one-on-one conversation
Portals, a global public art initiative connectingpeople in live, full-body dialogue, will connect characters in Park City to others in Havana, Cuba; Isfahan, Iran, and Mexico City, Mexico during the Sundance Film Festival from January 22-26, 2016. The Portal will be located at the Airbnb Haus, where local characters from around the world can share their stories with one another.
Portals are gold shipping containers linked with immersive audio-visual technology. When you enter one, you come face-to-face with someone in another Portal abroad and can converse one-on-one as if in the same room. Participants have described the experience as “breathing the same air.”
Participants in Park City can RSVP for time in the Portals at www.SharedStudios.com/ParkCity.
