Jacques, a retired war photographer, is attempting to live a peaceful life in the Alps. With a new girlfriend, Nathalie, he appears content, but his old friend Frédéric knows better.
Born in Paris in 1937, Claude Lelouch has directed over fifty films in five decades. He established his reputation with A MAN AND A WOMAN (1966), which won the Palme d'or in Cannes as well as two Oscars, and set international boxoffice records for a French film. Since then he has directed the biggest stars of the French cinema in a remarkable body of films ranging from the small and personal to the big and spectacular. Among his more recent films: THE BEAUTIFUL STORY (1992), LES MISÉRABLES (1995), CHANCE OR COINCIDENCE (1998), AND NOW, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN (2002), LE COURAGE D'AIMER (2005), CROSSED TRACKS (2007), WHAT LOVE MAY BRING (2010).
