DONALD K. RANVAUD
Donald K. Ranvaud has been working in the film industry as a journalist and producer for several decades. In addition to his numerous published books, he founded the film magazine, Framework, and has free-lanced with several publications including Sight and Sound, The Guardian, and Cahiers du Cinema. He has spent much of his career as a producer, with a special interest in Latin American cinema and has garnered 12 Oscar nominations. He has produced dozens of acclaimed films including Life on a String, Farewell My Concubine, Estação Central (Central Station), Cidade de Deus (City of God), and The Constant Gardener. He is currently discovering and nurturing filmmakers as the President of the London-based film production company “Buena Onda.” He is also a consultant from 2012 of the World Bank’s initiative CONNECT4CLIMATE, a board member of www.indigenousfilmcircle.org and an active sponsor of humanitarian foundations such as www.medicinelleforeste.org
