MARILYN MANSON In Berlin to Unveil His Directorial Debut
One of rock's most enigmatic figures, gothic rocker Marilyn Manson journeys
to the Berlin Film Festival this weekend to launch his directorial debut
feature film "Phantasmagoria - The Visions of Lewis Carroll", in which he will also star as Charles Lutwidge Dodgson, better
known by the pseudonym, Lewis Carroll, and best known as the author of
'Alice's Adventures In Wonderland' and other books of exquisitely whimsical
humour.
The film will shoot this summer. In addition to directing and starring,
Manson has also written the screenplay and the music score, some of which
will be previewed in Berlin along with a teaser trailer and some of the
early art for the film.
Starring alongside Manson will be actress/model Lily Cole, who will play
Alice. Cole will join Manson in Berlin to
present their project to the world's media.
In describing the film, producer Alain de la Mata says, "It's a kind of
arthouse horror; what people expect from Manson, they're going to get here."
