IDIFF 2005: February 2 to 4
Palais des Festivals
For its third edition, IDIFF (International Digital Film Forum) continues its development and invests once again the Palais des festivals of Cannes, emblematic city for the cinema.
Unique event in Europe, IDIFF is entirely dedicated to digital cinema under all its aspects. The 2005 edition, which will be held from 2 to 4 February, will be marked by the strong presence of major European an International actors, working in the field of technologies linked to creation, post-production and diffusion.
Digital cinema enters a period of maturity. From now on, the offer of new cameras is growing, digital colour grading enters a phase of industrial logic and projects of deployment of digital projectors are born in Europe. To apprehend these evolutions, to take into account the last technological innovations and to share the experiments of professionals, IDIFF remains the unique place at the confluences of the various sets of themes specific to digital cinema.
We are no longer in experimentation, but in commercialisation of appropriate offers by manufacturers. The difficulty is now located in the choice of the tool with the most appropriate use. To determine, with accuracy, the choice of the tools and the method (and thanks to the success of the 2004 edition), IDIFF proposes the triptych Exhibition, Conferences and Screenings.
