The Awards are designed to shine the spotlight on the the intersection of the exceptional talent and creative technology that represents the Future of Digital Production.
Magnet Media produces both the award-winning Digital Media Training Series™ (DMTS™) and the award-winning Zoom In. DMTS™ provides DVD-based, comprehensive, step-by step training to creative professionals in the broadcast, film, corporate video, and independent film industries. Zoom In is the quarterly DVD-based guide to digital production, offering practical techniques, tips, tricks, and video-based interviews and insights from today’s leading industry experts, including Peter Risafi, Senior V.P. of Creative at Comedy Central, John Dowdell, V.P. Imaging for Technicolor, and Gary Winick, Producer/Director for InDigEnt and 2002 Sundance Award Winner.
In 2004, with the arrival of affordable High Definition production tools, a new market is opening up for creative professionals. DMTS™ will provide the training, while Zoom In will bring these trends to life through exclusive video-based coverage of the high-profile filmmakers, broadcast designers, editors, and production houses responsible for blazing the trail. The Annual Zoom In Awards were created to honor the industry’s best talent and the latest production tools.
The Zoom In Awards will give tomorrow’s creative experts a chance to show off their best work, gaining important exposure and getting a chance to win from over $100,000 in prizes. The campaign will run 6 months annually, reaching millions of industry professionals through advertisements, tradeshows, events, and editorial media coverage. Magnet Media has dedicated a full-time staff to running the campaign and has also contracted two high-profile PR consultants in the industry, Reid Rosefeld and Sharan Sklar.
