Four dynamic business and media leaders, Lila Ibrahim, Ellen McGirt, Todd Hoddick and Anand Chandrasekaran have joined Cinequest's Board of Directors with the mandate to enhance Cinequest's global impact through creativity and innovation.
Lila Ibrahim , partner at Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, has connected with Cinequest. Ibrahim became a partner at Kleiner Perkins in 2010 and works across the firm's digital and greentech portfolios. Before joining Kleiner Perkins, Ibrahim had a diverse 18-year career with Intel, most recently as the General Manager of the startup business of Intel's Emerging Markets Product Group. During her tenure at Intel, she held a variety of technical, marketing and management positions, including assignments in Japan to enable DVD standards for the PC industry and in the Asia Pacific region to pioneer the global expansion of Intel's premier developer program. Based on her business and community service leadership, Lila was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum, is a Henry Crown Fellow at the Aspen Institute, received national recognition from the Anita Borg Institute (Women of Vision, 2010); VARBusiness (Top 50 Most Powerful Women in the Channel, 2008); and Purdue University (Outstanding Electrical and Computer Engineer, 2010). In 2009 she was also featured on the cover of ForbesWoman for her role promoting women in technology.
Ellen McGirt , Senior Writer at Fast Company magazine has also united with Cinequest. McGirt is a distinguished writer who has published articles and interviews with top execs at companies like Intel, Nike, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Volkswagen, and Walmart. She covers a wide range of business topics but her main focus stays true: the business ideas and the people who are changing our world. Prior to joining Fast Company in 2007, McGirt worked at Fortune as a senior writer, was a columnist and editor-at-large for Money and served as a guest correspondent for CNN's American Morning and also made numerous appearances on Good Morning America, CBS Early Today and NBC Nightly News, to name a few.
Todd Hoddick is currently the V.P. Entertainment for Barco's North American business. Barco is a global technology company which designs and develops visualization solutions for a variety of markets, such as medical imaging, media & entertainment. Hoddick has over 20 years of experience in the Entertainment industry which includes his tenure at The Walt Disney Company and Technicolor plus numerous successful consulting engagements with Twentieth Century Fox, Sony and others in the industry.
Anand Chandrasekaran , a member of the World Economic Forum's 2010 list of 'Young Global Leaders' has joined Cinequest's Board of Directors. Chandrasekaran is currently Director of Product and Market Development at Openwave Systems. Prior to Openwave, Chandrasekaran co-founded and helped build Aeroprise (sold to BMC Software in 2011.) Chandrasekaran's entrepreneurial efforts have been covered by Business Week, Business 2.0, CNBC Asia and featured in a TED Talk on the future of innovation in organizations. He holds a Masters in Electrical Eng. from Stanford University, where he was invited back as a guest lecturer for a class on building entrepreneurial companies. Chandrasekaran is also the Producer of the acclaimed documentary 'Tapestries of Hope' and executive produced 'Carma' which screened at Cinequest in 2007.
