Michigan Film Gala Scheduled for December 31, 2010 at the Sheraton Novi Hotel
What: Global Pictures, Michigan Movie Magazine and Specs Howard present the first ever Michigan Film Gala. The Michigan Film Gala will include a showcase of Michigan films starting with "CornerStore", a Red Carpet, meet and greet, a dinner, special guest speakers and countdown to New Year's.
Who: Brandon T. Jackson (Tropic Thunder, Roll Bounce and Big Momma's House 3) will be hosting the event. Special guest speakers include:
• Tanya Ryno (Producer of SNL)
• Rod Harrell (CEO of RLH Talent)
• Susan Frishman (Entertainment Attorney)
Why: To date, over 90 movies have been made in Michigan. The Michigan Film Gala celebrates this fact and encourages future Michigan filmmaking.
Who Should Attend: Actors, Directors, Producers, Aspiring Film Makers and Fans
When: The showcase begins at 9 a.m. on December 31, 2010. After the showcase, there will be a Red Carpet event beginning at 7 p.m. followed by a meet and greet. The evening will conclude with a dinner, special guest speakers and the ringing in of the New Year with a champagne toast at midnight January 1, 2011.
