We only recieve shortfilms that have been selected (and/or awarded) in previous film festivals. Director of Best dhort film will recieve a $2500 cash prize and the beautifull "Director´s Chair Award", plus a contract for latin american distribution.
The RIFF is a special encounter of the best of world cinema with some of the most inovative work coming out of the Middle East. A Rare view of world societies, It is also part of a larger effort to develop the AV sector in Palestine.
The purpose of de Festival will be the appraisal and diffusion of short film and video works produced in Latin America. Filmmakers from other countries may also participate so long as theme is related to Latin America.

The Official competitive Section specialises in films from countries producing up to 30 features yearly and it takes place 25 miles from Lisbon at the celebrated beach area of Setubal Bay.
The main theme of this festival is Cinema and Literature, so we accept in competion documentaries on writers, etc and fiction based on books, novels, plays, etc
The Festival`s main goal is to stimulate the public exhibition of films, which are neither distributed nor screened at the traditional local circuits. The program has an official competition for feature and short films and a focus on music and film.
The festival is comprised of films out of competition and videos in competitions, produced using digital devices, according to the following categories:
Student Screening,College Screening,Professional Screening, Web Screening
The aim of the CineEco’2003 is to promote the Natural, Ecological and Cultural values, as well as the promotion of Serra da Estrela heritage and touristic richness.
The works should be presented to the competition until 21st August 2003.

Bringing continents, countries, people and cultures closer through the art of filmmaking. From the year 2009 Bridge Fest main event will be regulary held in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina and winning films will be shown in Vancouver, Canada.

Send us your films now, whether they are 35mm or DCP or Digital beta, whether they are `Noir`, Gory, Spooky, fantastical or Futuristic, they`re what we`re after and we want them!
Applications and regulations to be downloaded on our website and sent directly to the festival with a dvd for the preselection: www.courtmetrange.eu
It is important that the films that are sent for the preselection are subtitled in english.
Documentaries are not accepted.
