La compétition de 10 longs métrages rend parfaitement compte de l’extrême fraîcheur et du profond renouveau de la cinématographie latino-américaine, puisqu’elle réunit sept premiers films, un second, et un troisième. Seul maître confirmé, Juan Carlos Tabío (faisant par ailleurs l’objet d’une réjouissante rétrospective en marge de nos diverses compétitions) nous offre sa dernière comédie en date, magnifique manière d’ouvrir le festival !
