Le cahier d’Hana Makhmalbaf ouvrira Vesoul

Le cahier d’Hana Makhmalbaf (Afghanistan-Iran) en ouverture du 14ème Festival International des Cinémas d’Asie de Vesoul (29 janvier – 5 février 2008)

Le cahier d’Hana Makhmalbaf sera présenté en avant première pour ouvrir la 14ème édition du Festival International des Cinémas d’Asie de Vesoul (Haute-Saône, Franche-Comté) mardi 29 janvier à 20h30 au Théâtre Edwige Feuillère. Une reprise aura lieu mercredi 30 janvier à 18h au cinéma Majestic – Espace des Lumières.
Le cahier est le premier long métrage de fiction de cette jeune réalisatrice iranienne prometteuse qu’est Hana Makhmalbaf. Elle est issue d’une famille de cinéastes talentueux puisqu’elle est la fille de Moshen Makhmalbaf, la jeune sœur de Samira et la belle fille de Marzieh Meshkini.
Le cahier se déroule sous les anciennes statues géantes des Bouddhas de Bâmiyân en Afghanistan détruites par les Talibans. Des milliers de familles tentent de survivre dans des grottes. Baktay, une petite fille de six ans se met en tête d’aller à l’école, quitte à braver tous les dangers….
75 films dont 38 inédits parmi lesquels 17 en compétition :
Le Président du Jury international est le réalisateur japonais Masahiro Kobayashi, Léopard d’or à Locarno en 2007 (Pressentiment d’amour), les autres membres sont la réalisatrice et actrice iranienne Niki Karimi (Quelques jours plus tard), la réalisatrice libanaise Jocelyne Saab ( Une vie suspendue ) et le réalisateur tadjik, Safarbek Soliev ( Waiting Calendar ) ; jury paritaire réalisatrices/réalisateurs respectant l’équilibre des talents de toute l’Asie, du Proche à l’Extrême-Orient. Ils remettront le Cyclo d’or et le grand prix du Jury.
