La Palme d’or d’honneur à Jean-Pierre Léaud

 Après Agnès Varda en 2015, Clint Eastwood, Manoel de Oliveira, Woody Allen et Bernardo Bertolucci dans les années récentes, c’est au comédien français Jean-Pierre Léaud que le Festival de Cannes a décidé de rendre hommage. La Palme d’or d’honneur de la 69e édition lui sera remise lors de la Cérémonie de Clôture, le dimanche 22 mai.

Jean-Pierre Léaud fait partie de la légende cannoise. Découvert par François Truffaut qui en fait le jeune héros de son premier film, Les 400 Coups, ce gamin extraverti et turbulent de 14 ans débarque sur la Croisette en 1959. Sa spontanéité incarne à elle seule le vent de liberté que fait souffler la Nouvelle Vague sur le 7e art. Antoine Doinel et François Truffaut continuent de l’accompagner avec Antoine et Colette (1962), Baisers volés (1968), Domicile conjugal (1970) ou L'Amour en fuite (1979).
