The Annual 2010 Oscar Week Party has over thirty two celebrations sponsored by various organizations (Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Women in Film, The German Consulate, et al.) and brands (BMW, Dior, Diane von Furstenberg, Moet Chandon, et al.). The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences voting members must return their completed Oscar nominations ballots to PricewaterhouseCoopers no later than 5 p.m. on Saturday, January 23. Ballots received after that deadline will not be counted. There are 5,777 voting members.
PricewaterhouseCoopers will tabulate the ballots using the preferential voting system. This system is so convoluted that it makes Florida’s 2000 Butterfly ballot look simple.
