THINK OF ME

Director: Bryan Wizemann.
Las Vegas. Present day. A downward spiraling economy. Think of Me is the heartbreaking story of Angela Jerome (Lauren Ambrose, SIX FEET UNDER), a young single mother doing her level best not to fall apart. Her daughter Sunny (newcomer Audrey Scott) is one of the few joys in her life, but raising a child alone is a struggle on even the best of days. When the worst week of Angela's life builds to a breaking point, she is faced with an impossible choice: keep trying to make things work, or let it all go for the promise of something better. Co-starring Dylan Baker (HAPPINESS) as Max, a nihilistic reflection of Las Vegas itself, and his sister, Louise (Penelope Ann Miller, THE ARTIST), whose self-interested offer of 'help' becomes the hardest decision Angela will ever have to make.

Taking Bulgarian Cinema on the Road: An Interview With Director Konstantin Bojanov

user
Walking around New York, London or Paris, if you offered someone 100 dollars, pounds or euros to name just one Bulgarian film or director, you'd likely still have the money in your pocket after an hour of trying. Of course, this fact has nothing to do with a lack of productivity or talent in contemporary Bulgarian cinema. And with “Avé”, the feature film debut by director Konstantin Bojanov, Bulgarian cinema's profile is likely to be raised higher, as audiences discover a deeply personal and...

Twenty years ago when Raindance founder Elliot Grove proposed the name for a festival he had in mind that would be devoted to indie films to take place in his adopted city of London, little did he realize how the organization would grow in the past two decades to become one of the pre-eminent festivals and filmmaker training programs on the continent. In a clear nod to the successful profile of the Sundance Film Festival (although with a specifically British nod to the drizzly UK weathe...

El Cadáver Exquisito

user
El Cadáver Exquisito by Sombra There are four elements that make up the foundation of my memories and of my present, that is to say, of me. They gave birth to and laced themselves through all the situations that mold my life. Two of them arrived at the same time, while I was still a child: my mother’s garden and my father’s library. I remember the first one deeply; like a cloudy horizon: a forest of roses, with stems that reached to the sky… and the secon...

Not only did I procure a press pass for the 4th Annual NYC Food Film Festival on Saturday, June 26th, I actually made it to Brooklyn 2 hrs before the event opened!
