Dear Screenwriters and Filmmakers, My Partner and I have decided to keep that dream alive. Why YouPix? The idea of YouPix.org was born out of our frustrations with the current state of the Indie Film business model. Over the last decade there has been a decline in Indie Films investment by major Hollywood production companies. The decline is due to many reasons, but the most importantly, the old business model DOES NOT WORK! The vast majority of the Indie Films do not make money – so why invest? Too much risk. If you are a passionate Indie Filmmaker – finding the money to make your film is almost impossible. Unless your rich Aunt invented bubble gum, odds are you’re not going to make your movie.
