I hate it when I wake up early for no reason whatsoever and have no choice but to get out of bed… 5.18am I wake up thirsty, so I have a drink and try to get back to sleep – not happening, so I check the Blackberry’s (yes 2 I’m afraid oops) for e-mails and get through them; still can’t sleep though so I decide I might as well put the radio on and face the day earlier than planned. Wouldn’t all of this material make an amazing  documentary? Whereas Casey Afleck’s is-it-or-isn’t-it a documentary on Jacquin Phoenix apparently having a mental breakdown is called ‘I’m Still Here’ I could call mine focusing upon my sleeplessness ‘I’m Not Here’ purley because I don’t feel like I exist until about midday on days like these! :) I’m surethat half way through it would probably turn into a documentary about insomnia…

I really can’t wait to see this documentary though I like films that make me think. Speaking of films that make one think, I was really surprised to see that Raindance UK will be screening the uncut version of my favourite film of last year; A Serbian Film, at their festival this year. This is excellent news, as for all those who go to see it, they will be able to see it as the director intended, in all its powerful glory. Hopefully I’ll be able to see it again myself on the big screen if I can get down there, along with all the other interesting indie films that are screening. The whole programme looks great and I also noticed that one of my friends films ‘Do Elephants Pray’ is screening which is a wonderful little gem of a film, well done Jonnie, John, Paul and co. :)
