MUST SEE SXSW Panel: Salvador Dali, AI, and the Future of Creativity at SXSW on 3.12.24

THE DALÍ MUSEUM AND GOODBY SILVERSTEIN & PARTNERS EXPLORE  SALVADOR DALI, AI AND THE FUTURE OF CREATIVITY AT SXSW

One of the world’s most innovative museums and creative ad agencies  to present new AI prototype on March 12

Expect nothing short of fantastical when one of the world’s most innovative museums and one of the most creative advertising agencies come together for a panel discussion at SXSW. The Dalí Museum and Goodby Silverstein & Partners have collaborated for years, using cutting-edge technologies to share the life and work of Salvador Dalí, one of the most influential and forward-thinking artists of the 20th century.

In this thought provoking session, ‘Salvador Dalí, AI, and The Future of Creativity, the panelists will explore how innovation shapes art appreciation, ultimately sharing their vision of the future  of creativity as they imagine the evolution of artistic expression in the next half-century.

On March 12, during the panel, The Dalí Museum and Goodby Silverstein & Partners will unveil their latest groundbreaking innovation, ‘Ask Dalí.’ This prototype, powered by several modern Machine Learning models, including GPT-4 and Whisper from OpenAI and Eleven V2 from ElevenLabs, will connect the visitor with the artist like never before, allowing a real-time conversation that is interactive, dynamic, and unpredictable, just like Dalí himself.

“Dalí’s persistence in penetrating the appearance of things to perceive a deeper reality drives our innovative approach to experiential exhibitions and programs at The Dalí,” said Dr. Hank Hine, Executive Director at The Dalí Museum. “Dalí showed us that perception is a creative act. Similarly, The Dalí Museum offers the tools to look at things in a new way and experience the power of the creative imagination.”

In recent years, The Dalí was the first museum to pioneer VR, synthetic media and the use of OpenAI’s DALL-E in their exhibitions. Consistently ranked among the most creative agencies in the world, Goodby Silverstein & Partners was co-founded by Jeff Goodby, Co-Chairman and Partner, perhaps best known for creations like the “got milk?” and Budweiser Lizards campaigns.

Jeff Goodby will be joined on stage by his agency’s Partner and Chief Creative Officer, Margaret Johnson and Director of Creative Technology and AI, Martin Pagh Ludvigsen, as well as Hank Hine, The Dalí Museum’s Executive Director.
