Video Service, Created by Accedo, Gives Les Mills Group Fitness Instructors Instant Access to Exercise Programmes

Accedo (http://www.accedo.tv), the video experience pioneer, announced at CommunicAsia 2017, Singapore, that it has partnered with Les Mills International to create an exercise, music and education video service, for its 130,000 group fitness instructors, around the globe.

As the world’s largest provider of choreographed exercise-to-music group fitness classes, Les Mills International is launching the service to deliver teaching materials to group fitness instructors on iOS and Android devices. Instructors can stream all videos and music, view choreography notes, and also download videos for offline viewing.

Having initially been piloted across the European Nordic regions, the app is currently being rolled out to a number of additional territories across the globe, including the USA and Canada, France Germany, the Netherlands, Portugal, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Spain, Greece, and Cyprus.

“This is a step change for our business and the experience we provide to instructors. The Les Mills Releases app will provide instructors their teaching resources in the format they want on the device they have in their pocket,” commented Sheree Buchanan, Chief Digital Officer, Les Mills International. “We are confident that this will revolutionise the way instructors learn choreography, having instant access to the latest material.”

The Les Mills Releases app is being delivered using Accedo’s AppGrid (https://www.accedo.tv/appgrid), cloud-based video experience management platform. It enables easy configuration, ensuring the best video experience, whatever the device. It has also been integrated with the Google Analytics and Crashlytics to enable Les Mills to capture detailed analytics regarding video consumption. Integration with Salesforce means that only registered users are able to access the videos.

“OTT video services are no longer just the premise of large media companies,” added Chris McNair, General Manager, New Zealand, Accedo. “It is easier than ever to launch niche video services to multiple devices for any number of different applications, and this is a great example of how that can be achieved to great effect.”

The beta version has already had more than 8,000 downloads.
