It comprises 20 films: 8 Features, 6 Short Films, 3 Documentaries, 1 Music Video and 2 Student Short Films. Oscars 2021 nominated Vijeesh Mani's film Mmmm - Sound of Pain will be a star attraction at the event. RIFF, organised by the RIFF Film Club, will be held from 25th to 30th March 2022, in Jodhpur, and will also celebrate Rajasthan Diwas (Rajasthan Day), which falls on March 30. On this day, the Northern Indian state of Rajasthan will complete 73 years of its existence. Films selected in the first round are Ed Hartman's International Short Documentary from the US, "It Gets In Your Blood", Vineet Sharma directed Short Film "Gajra", starring Sachin Khedekar and Sonali Kulkarni, Mya Kaplan directed International Student Short Film from Israel, "Habikur (Night Visit)", Ashutosh Chaturvedi and Pankaj Mavchi directed Short Film, "Pilibhit (The Yellow Wall)", Mayank Pushpam Singh directed Short Film, "Naa Jaane Kyun", Rohini Hak directed International Short Film from the US, "E-Rickshawali 2021", Banjii & Mayuri directed International Music Video Album from the US "Ancient Lover", Fabienne Le Houérou's Feature Documentary International from France, "Princes and Vagabonds", which explores the community of Manganiar musicians and their musical identity and migrations. The list also includes Dr. Bhawani Singh Rathore and Rohit Guptaa directed Documentary, "Ek Rajput Kisan - The Real Story ", Ram Kamal Mukherjee directed, "Ek Duaa - A Prayer", starring Esha Deol Takhtani, "Shubho Bijoya", starring Gurmeet Choudhary and Debina Bonnerjee , Brijesh Kakodker directed Konkani Short Film, "Gagan (Sky)", Amar L. directed Kannada Feature Film "Masanada Hoovu (Flower of a Graveyard)", Adari Murthy Sai Directed Telugu Feature Film, "Dahanam", Jeyachandra Hashmi directed Tamil Short Film, "Sweet Biriyani", Ananth Narayan Madadevan's Marathi Feature Film "Bittersweet", Kritesh Agarwal's directed English Short Film "Tired Heart", Ilanthirayan Alan Arumugam directed International English Feature Film, from Australia, "Aiyai Wrathful Soul", and Tharun Moorthy's Feature Malayalam Film "Operation Java". Somendra Harsh and Anshu Harsh, Managing Trustees of RIFF Film Club and Founders of the Rajasthan International Film Festival, said that "This, the 8th edition of the Rajasthan International Film Festival (RIFF), will be held in Jodhpur, like last year. The Closing Ceremony and The Grand RIFF Award Night 2022 will be organised on 30th March, 2022 in Jodhpur, on the occasion of Rajasthan Diwas." Short, Documentary, Animation, Feature, Regional, Rajasthani films, as well as music videos, can be submitted by visiting the website www.riffjaipur.org and also through filmfreeway.
