Minister of state (Information & Broadcasting) Choudhury Mohan Jatua will be the Chief Guest. Actor Saif Ali Khan will be the Guest Of Honour. Ghost Writer directed by Roman Polanski which was shown at the Press Club, Mumbai four weeks ago was the Mid-Fest film at IFFI.
Directorate of Film Festivals Head, S M Khan has announced two more awards, increasing the award money (did you know IFFI is the world's richest) and making the competition section truly global. From next year on, the Competition Section will be open to all countries worldwide. He also said the I & B Ministry wuold consider long-term recommendations such as changing the structure of the Festival to a Public Private Partnership model.
