Red Sea International Film Festival


The second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF) will run in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from December 1-10, 2022.
The inaugural Red Sea International Film Festival took place from December 6 -15, 2021 with live dailies on filmfestivals.com.

The Red Sea International Film Festival brings the best in Arab and World Cinema to Jeddah Old Town. The Festival showcases exciting new films on the Saudi big-screen, alongside retrospective programs celebrating the masters of cinema, the latest Saudi films, and feature and short film competitions. There are also industry events and workshops nurturing the next generation of talent.

In ‘Celebration of Women in Cinema’, the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF), hosted a gala event this evening at the 75th Cannes International Film Festival on the grounds of the magnificent Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Cap d’Antibes.

Academy Award winning and internationally renowned actor and filmmaker Jackie Chan awarded on Closing RSIFF Ceremony

The second edition of the Red Sea International Film Festival (RedSeaIFF), closed by honouring Academy Award winning and internationally renowned actor and filmmaker Jackie Chan for his unparalleled talents and contribution to the film industry, paving the way as a legendary actor, director, producer and stuntman.

 

Mohammed Al Turki; CEO of the RedSeaIFF said: “We are thrilled to close the second edition on a high by honoring Jackie Chan, a true pioneer, and legend. His extraordinary career spans 60 years, starring in more than 150 movies, a cultural icon, and of the most recognizable, influential, and beloved cinematic personalities in the world. His in-conversation provided fans with a glimpse into his humble beginnings, and his rise to global fame and teased upcoming projects that we would love to host at the Festival in the future.”

 

Jackie Chan is joined by Yousra, Shah Rukh Khan, and Guy Ritchie who received Yusr Honorary Awards at the opening ceremony of the Festival.
