Regarding the fantastic organization of many events , red carpet of the well known names in the world of animation industry and potent new coming market of the animation film industry today, FIPRESCI Jury members of the festival are not allowed to reveal any favorites in the selection for FIPRESCI Award, so I will talk for now, about festival in general.
The most important animation festivals this year celebrates its 51st Edition. As the leading professional international trade market in France dedicated to animation, for the past 25 years, the program called MIFA receives more and more importance in the animation business industry every year. The competition is very strong. Five European animation films made the nine-title in the competition. There is also a strong competition for Asian anime, which I announce the Japan's "Colorful", South Korea's "Green Days" and "The House" and "Tibetan Dog". Annecy's Asian competition includes "Green Days," by Han Hye-jin and An Jae-hoon, Masayuki Kojima's "Tibetan Dog," and as I mentioned before "Colorful," Japan anime by Keiichi Hara Also I would mention Tibetan fantasy drama "House." Annecy's competition also includes Europe with Denmark's Esben Toft Jacobsen's "The Great Bear," by Copenhagen Bombay, Latin jazz scene "Chico and Rita," which opened Cartoon Movie, and finally "A Cat in Paris," from French toon studio Folimage ("Mia and the Migoo"). Lets not forget China's "Legend of Butlar, Brit toon pic "Goodbye Mister Christie" and " Spain's "The Apostle." According to Annecy fest managing director Tiziana Loschi over 70 countries represented by Annecy attendees, through the Mifa Creative Focus and Works in Progress, producers are finding partners in distribution and co-production for the future being. MIFA & Annecy cover the complete animation set from the creative to the business with focus on the highest quality of animation art. It is focused on the global production of animation with some forty countries represented through the works of established or up-and-coming directors, to cover emotions, major concerns and cultural convictions and borders.
